    I received this as change during a visit to McDonald's. It appears to have the letter S as its minting. San Francisco?

      Correct - 1935 S there were 10,300,000 minted at the San Francisco mint.

      Isn't it something how some older coins are still or have returned to circulation? It looks in pretty good condition too being almost an octogenarian!!
