    (2 items)

Item is 8" long and about 1/4" wide and 3/4" deep at the middle....
It appears to be made of Brass and weighs 5 oz.
The figure in the middle appears to be a double headed eagle....
I purchased at an estate sale and they thought it was some sort of binding for a book.???? I can not find anything that shows it might be a book binding..

    Any ideas.????

Just a guess, but perhaps it once held a big comb? Was part of a dressing table set, with hand mirror, comb and brush?
