And now for something completely different! ;) I thought I'd show you something else than jewels for once...
I actually don't know much about this mask, except that my grandfather bought in in the 1950's. He worked in the harbour of Dunkirk (Northern France) and at the time, cargo boats from all over the world arrived there to unload all sorts of import goods. My father found this mask in a closet as he was clearing my grandma's flat after she'd died. He wanted to throw it away, but before doing so, he asked me if I was interested in keeping it. You bet I was! I did some research on the Net and found out that this mask probably came from Papoua. Maybe some experts round here will teach me a little more...
