    Really nicely tooled bowl. Single piece of wood, may be birch. Excellent artwork on this old obviously used bowl.

      The wood is light, grainy like mahagony, but bleached in color. Could be really really old.

      I am really new to wood so forgive me. I never happened to see birch like this. Perhaps someone will come forth with information and we will all learn.

      No problem, I know this is an authentic piece. I acquired it from someone who has an amazing collection. This piece was left behind in my acquisition. I believe Tony has a book on primitive native works like this and more.
