I think I'm in shock!!! Something finally uploaded!
Ok, I've had this compact about 40 some years now. The outside of it has aged a bit, in fact a lot, so I don't display it anymore. My great aunt gave this to me all those years ago. The 2 middle pics are sideways, for now anyway, but as you can see in the last pic, the crumbled powder is still there. I have no idea who the maker is and I've never seen another like it. Anyone have a clue who made these?

I know Pygmalion did a spherical compact with the world inscribed on it.
Maybe they made a plain one too?
Quick look and this really looks Pygmalion. They were a British company who made higher end compacts. Great thing!
Thank you racer, I'll check it out. I'm also going to look at it thru my jewelers loop outside in the daylight. Maybe there is something I missed all these years...
