antique looking asian vase

I don't know if this vase is even an antique, it just looked old to me when we were going through some things. It's 8in tall, the mouth is 2.5in wide. There are no stamps or words that I can make out or understand on the bottom. There are some Chinese or Japanese, I'm not sure, words/symbols on the bottom but they feel like they are made into the vase or were put on the bottom of the vase and then covered up when the enamel was applied or whatever. I had more pictures, trying to get a better view of the symbols and I even outlined in a picture what I could see of the symbols but I was only allowed to post 4 pictures on here. If anyone has any information on or about this or have any ideas where I could find out more information about it, please feel free to give your input or anything that may be useful. Thanks.
Just had recently talked with a friend in Japan and he can't see the markings clearly on the bottom, but he said he believes them to be Korean markings but with a Japanese picture painted.
