That's a new one for me?? - Is there any information inside the box of the company that actually produced the game?
agh it was made by American Postal Workers Union (APUW) looks like to me ?
The copyright is held by the American Postal Workers Union. These are employees of the Postal Service, I don't think they are in the boardgame manufacturing business.
I Have added more photos of whats inside and a Letter that came in the box.
I don't know if this is a thresher or trash?
If you read the letter its kid of strange
I would keep this, along with the letter too. Milton Bradley did make a Post Office Board Game but it was in the same concept as Monopoly. - Simply for the fact this game you have does not show up anywhere on the internet search should mean it is quite rare being only a short-term promotional item.
Well i am really stumped. I cant even seem to find a reference to this game.
Mike101 - I just bought the same game at a DC area thrift store - for $ 1.50! I wish I had more info for you, but right now, I can only add to this mystery: Mine had the same letter EXCEPT instead of 'Dear Friend', it is addressed 'My Dear Congressman' AND the letter is dated 'September 16, 1976'. Since it references the Wall Street Journal in the letter, maybe we could search WSJ archives around that time period? When I have a chance, I'll investigate further, and let you all know if I find anything. By the way, my game has the same things yours does, w/ 4 mailboxes, one die and 19 cards. I'd be curious to know how many cards yours has. Also, instead of having a green background with a yellow walkway, my BOX cover has a light blue background with a white walkway. I'm not sure if this is due to fading or just a different version - everything else looks exactly the same as yours.
Wow ....do you have posted anywhere. I will count the cards and let you know how many I have. Thanks and keep me posted.
