    Hey,

I signed up for this account to find a bit more information about 2 trunks I currently own. I have attached pictures of each. Any information on them would be awesome! I would just like to know their approximate age and make. The first two pictures will be the first trunk, and the second two, the other. Thanks for any help!

These are two "Monitor" style trunks from the early 1900's. Higher quality inserts in the first one and a standard tray in the second. The first trunk overall is a nicer quality trunk with better hardware and slats. There were many companies making this style of trunks along with other types in their line of goods so without a label identifying a specific maker it would be quite difficult to know what company made them. They are both nice trunks... thanks for the post and welcome to Collectors Weekly!!!

Thank you for the response! I couldn't find any labels, but I will search again. Is it rare to find inserts in great condition like the first?

I forgot my usual, "Welcome to Cyber Asylum". Don't worry! I'm one of a kind.

It is hard to find the inserts in good condition -- most often they are missing altogether. These are really in nice condition.
