Hi folks!
Ok, so someone gave us these lamps and we love them. I was told they are Egyptian, and because they need some repair and cleaning, I have been trying to find out more about them. 3 days later, I have found NOTHING on the internet.
Can anyone help me? They are heavy, about 3 feet tall and appear to be some sort of pottery or sandstone painted bronze where the lions/griffins are. The label says "Westwood Futures", but I can't find much on them either.
Anyone with any ideas, please email me at Morgen1514@gmail.com
Thank you!
I just brought up another lamp posted on the CW site which has also been identified as WESTWOOD FUTURES.
I just tried to do a search for Westwood futures in this site, but came up with only my lamp lol
If you have that link, it would help a lot. Thanks!
Its the "Buddah Lamp" shown on the "latest activity" page. Comment #7 on her post identifies it as Westwood Futures and plaster.
oops - I mean "All Activity" page
Westwood made a bunch of lamps in the 50/60/70/80s etcs They sometimes go for big $$! Some are designer made and limited edition. Just look for WESTWOOD LAMPS. "Futures" may have been a particular line. I belive the name comes from the town Westwood in NJ. (http://www.westwoodnj.gov/)
Check out the prices some go for here:

I juts got a cool one from an antique barn in upstate NY. Ill post a pic soon! Spent all last night cleaning and rewiring it.
Those Egyptian ones are super cool! Is there a label on the bottom with a model #?
