I spotted this old EAPG Cake Stand at a garage sale this morning and I was sure that I knew what the pattern was and who made it but when I got home, I had a rude awakening. Not only was I wrong, but I wasn't able to find a similar one in any of my ref. books. I thought it was a Bryce Bros #160 pattern piece but nothing in my books resembles it. I'm hoping that Tallcakes can have a look and give me his professional opinion. It measures 6 3/4" tall, 10 3/4" wide and has a scalloped rim and base. It was made in a 3-piece mold and the base and platform are held together by an unlined glass wafer. The interesting aspect of it is that the center of the cake platter has a recessed center to accomodate the wafer connection. The skirt (petticoat) along the rim is scalloped on the top, ribbed in the middle and has delicate fans along the lower section. Any ideas? Thanks, RER(BOB)
