This fabulous Westclox alarm clock was designed with great form & function. It's cream Bakelite case has a sliding cover that operates similarly to a roll top desk. The number markers and hands glow in the dark. Marked "Made by General Time in Hong Kong", on the face of the clock and measures 3 1/2" h x 2 3/4" w x 1 5/8" deep (at the widest point of the tapered case). All in all, I dig it! =)

Cool clock..love the roll-top design, but pretty sure later model...thinking late 1960's-70's...because of Honk Kong title...earlier Westclox would been USA, Canada and Japan, with a few Germany...pre 1960's

These were really great if you remember to set the alarm. I had one during the 70's in Germany. I would set it and put it in my shirt pocket when I got on the train. It would wake me ten minutes before my stop. Until one morning I found myself at the border crossing going into Switzerland. No money and a big problem. Technically I was AWOL. What memories this conjures up.

I just realized we have the same clock. Mine says "Made in Canada" though.
