This is one more of my Estate Sale finds. I know it is a Panzer Assault Badge. But my question is, is it REAL? I can not find any picture like it real or fake. Any feedback/input would be much appreciated. Thanking you in advance.

Sorry Phil, you must have misunderstood. I have looked in a lot of places on the net. I meant I couldn't find any exactly like it. Thank you for your post.

I've had several of these in the past but don't remember one with "100". That is probably the key. Probably for 100 engagements.

      Hey man...check it here http://www.military-awards.eu/germany-ww2/2-heer-ss/heer-ss03.htm

There's a 100 assaults badge that is similar to yours at the bottom of the page.

Based on the pictures of the website I mentioned, I would say your badge isn't a real one. The IV Grade badge has a different design. Your badge combines the II and III Grade badge design (25 and 50 assaults) with the number 100 of the IV Grade badge (75 and 100 assaults).

I'm not so quick to say it's fake. I've found that fakes are either real crude or are more in the counterfeit category. This seems too well made for obvious mistakes to be made.

Thanks mcheconi! I was thinking the same you.

blunderbuss I like your thinking maybe its a first generation before changed the design.

Sorry to say, you have a repro. The giveaway is the way the tank is attached to the badge. An original would be attached with small domed rivits.
