This is Argenault and Rose Hilda Lambert - my great grandparents - around the time they got married. He was a very successful carpenter / homebuilder and she made 'cures' - pills out of wild plants she collected and sold them door-to-door. She also founded the French American-Canadian Society - a society which promoted the study of American and French Canadian cultures in order to prevent misunderstandings and to improve communication between the two cultures [or something like that??!!]. these were taken right around 1910.
What a good looking young couple, very nice.
we have a handwritten notebook w/ her recipes along w/ colored pencil drawings of plants, but a great aunt has it somewhere and she can't find it. we have a lot of documents from his business. he was very successful for not having ever learned english. they both had a wonderful sense of style in everything they did. also a very loving couple!
