I believe this is a Japanese piece???? I could be wrong, I was not able to locate the marking on Gotheborg. I think it is an urn with the top missing, I will have to improvise a top I guess. Anyone know the marking?

I'm almost a 100% sure it's Japanese "Kutani" BH.....The red and gold decoration and the cranes are characteristic of those pieces. The mark looks like a crooked "nine valley's" or "kutani" mark. Top mark is "Ku "or 9 and other mark is valley. It's like a mountain or up side down "v" with the circle. I have a piece that has a four character mark but it's from a specific family of potters called "Eiraku".
