I purchased the doorstop at a Michigan estate sale a few years ago. The person was a collector of old doorstops and I collect anything old with a horse on it. I saw the Pipe stand on ebay and bought it a month ago but didn't realize that it was the spitting image of my doorstop.

So my question is: Why does my Doorstop look exactly like the pipe stand? I suspect they didn't come from the same manufacturer because I think the pipe stand is Sycros and the Doorstop maybe Hubley...not sure. Any help is appreciated.

The answer is easy.....the pipe holder is ambitious and works two jobs. I never happened to see a Hubley horse with this type base. Is there a three digit number on the bottom or back side?
