I am looking for any help with info on these statues. I bought at an auction of a prominent jewelry designer. These figures are 21 inches tall, wood carved with some type of metal pressed onto the wood carving. I dont know the age but they seen to have some. The work is very nice with many little tiny nails to hold the metal in place. Please if anyone has any addition info would be great. I also believe they are from India.
Thanks,
These are absolutely beautiful. Don't seemIndian for me...maybe thai, burmese, probably cambodian as they look very much like the apsara dancers from Angkor Wat.
The facial features are definitely asian. Never saw anything like these. They seem antique.
