This clear glass footed pitcher belonged to my grandmother.
It is hand blown, with a hand painted man standing holding a drinking cup.
4" wide at base, 10" high
there are no stamps or makers marks.
She was from Bohemia. Where and when is this pitcher from?
I too have a piece like this. A matching piece depicting a woman was also produced (the painting is on the opposite side from the piece depicting the gentleman).
This is what is known as 'Bauernglas,' or Volksglas' (both mean peasant glass), glass that was made for the masses who couldn't afford the finer glass. These pieces appear to be modern productions (ca. 1930's to the 1970's). Most of the modern peasant glass was produced in northern Austria for the tourist market. This type of glass can be found at flea markets all over Austria for cheap.
It doesn't appear to be collectible in the US at all, as I end up winning most of it dirt cheap, because no one wants it. I collect it because I'm German and it reminds me of home. I've amassed a large collection of peasant glass, and am very happy with it, and every subsequent piece that I add to my collection.

BTW...unfortunately I missed out on the matching lady pitcher. She looked more like Aunt Jemima. So, I didn't buy her. I hadn't had the gentleman pitcher yet. After I found the gentleman pitcher, I realized the mistake that I made in not buying the lady pitcher; she was $28, and no one bought it, and it was never reposted. I've yet to find another. It could take years.
