I recently found this pretty little vase, and just fell in love with it. It isn't in a style I usually collect, but it is just so sweet. This type of glass is often referred to as peachblow, but this is actually a cased pink to white glass that was usually produced in Bohemia, and not by American companies such as Mt. Washington, Hobbs Brockunier, etc. as this style of glass is often attributed to. (The whole 'peachblow' thing is confusing - here is a good article explaining true peachblow glass: http://www.theglassmuseum.com/peachblow.htm)
I really like the sparse, almost Oriental style of gold enameling against the pink and white. The vase measures 4" across by 5" tall.
Very pretty!!
Thank you, Lee! I really love it. :)
