Hi, oldedale, there's some fiestaware members I'm sure will help you. I have some fiestaware, i think i remember while looking into it, that circles on the base like this means its old, as it was done away with at some point, but i could be wrong. It'll be interesting what the fiesta collectors say about it :)
Would you believe that theres one exactly the same at my local recycle centre here in uk, sadly with a chipped rim !! I would have had it if good cos I think the shape is totally retro and I love it .. itll be intresting to see whats said on this cool site !!
Really you are trying to determine if it is pre/post 1980. The interior, upper handle should or shouldn't have a dent. I'm sorry I can't remember which tells you which! OMGosh, brain.not.functioning! Okay off to google it...

I believe you have the 1959-1969 medium green color and backstamp mark. Check this site, I believe she has the most accurate and informative fiestware information. http://www.happyheidi.com/antiques/history_of_fiesta.html
There are numerous sites that deal directly with fiestaware, old and new.
They used these at lunch when I was in school and it was well before 1969.
