      My eyes are bad.....I see old metal on boards and a wooden wheel. Where is the trunk? If I missed it don't mind me.

      You just can't use more modern wood with metal being inlaid & ever get this effect. I still vote original, but maybe doctored by some paint in yrs gone by.

      I have been searching and searching for info and no one is close to certain on any information I looked up Asian trunks and so on and I get nothing.. I can't find anything this big

      I would say quite old, but somewhere along the line someone has applied a decorative green coating of some sort. That coating could have been applied recently or 40 years ago.
