Another glorious find from a trusted friend and watch maker,he sold me this rolex for $500,but it is very neglected,the band is not original,the glass is badly scratched,but will now curb on my visits to thrift shops and jumble sales to save a few dollars to have this watch restored to its former glory, AS FOR MY CURBING OF MY FREQUENT VISITS TO THRIFT SHOPS ETC,I AM AFRAID,THAT IS WISHFUL THINKING,LOL;but going to try,hahahahaha. I am not sure if this is an early 60,s model ?.
Riaz, looks like a Rolex model reference 1002. The are numbers between the lugs and if you can read off both sets of numbers , I can ID the model and year of manufacture. George

thanks to all that LOVED my watch,
I had the band removed this morning and the model is 1014,that should date it to 1971 to 1983,i would still like clarity on that date,so,keep the info flowing folks,as always,i am highly appreciative on all inputs.also,the case material is gold with stainless back.question is,is the case real gold ?
