These came from the Salvation Army as well but I bought one of the pair yesterday and it has a nasty quarter size dent in one side. Today I found it's mate ! This one's in much better shape but it has a flat spot on the edge of the brass rim and one on the base's edge. No damage to the cloisonne though. So, an 8" pair and the little 6" newer one for extra measure. The pair are stamped "China" on the bottom. The little one is enameled in turquoise on the bottom with no mark or label. The brass is also beautiful and bright. Had to take an extra group pic once I found the other one. I can't believe my luck ! -Mike-

Sure id :)....doesn't bother me in the least. I just buy them because I like them not to retire on....lol.
Awesome id thanks :)....I wouldn't have thought the pair were that old but I've never seen "China" stamped into the metal before either usually it's written in red or has a label. I feel fortunate that I found it's mate today relatively unscathed.
I'm here to learn....you'll rarely get an attitude from me id :)
