This is a 1936 football trophy made of Zamac or a similar zinc/aluminum alloy and depicts a young player carying a football. The uniform, the soccer boots (there were no cleats at that time) and the ball designs are from an earlier era, the 1900's or late 1800's. The details of the cast are awesome, the face, the eyes and hair are finely sculpted with features you won't find in today's trophies.
It is not signed and doesn't have any marks.
It measures 33cm (13") high x 12cm (4,5") wide and weighs about 2Kg.
The base is a not very attractive grey marble slab engraved "Offerta de W. Teixeira 1936" meaning "Offered by W. Teixeira". It is not a major league or championship prize for shure.
Last pic is the 1st Royal Scots' Team in 1896, a time when moustaches were part of the uniform.

Hey Phil, yes, you are right. And this one is a cheap piece from those days. I have newer ones and you can notice how they got less and less detailed and well made. Anyway, anything from the 50's and earlier still have interesting features and make decorative pieces. I guess it's the same with car mascots.
Phil you have the eyes of a hawk and this is the reason why you find all those incredible pieces of yours.

Virginia...you're from Uruguay! How nice! I'd rather have Suarez biting the other players and actually playing football than Fred, The Zombie crawling across the field...a true shame. But in four years from now we will all be crazy again about our beloved teams. And this is great! Thank you again, Uruguay is an incredibly beautiful country.
