First three pictures she replacement pieces and the last one is the front hinge .. Again I do believe it's an original piece that has a little refurbishing.
42 tall
49 long
33 wide
33 deep
And EXTREMELY heavy
Not sure where you are going with this... basically half think it's new, half think it's old. Not being a hands on inspection, I doubt anyone would venture further into giving a definitive answer beyond what has already been offered.
At this point, it is starting to feel like an advertisement for the sale of this piece. Your name, email, Facebook, husband's company, telephone number, and location have all been listed a few times, along with the desire to "sell" it. Subtle? No. Effective? Yes.

So strange how some people just need something to say .. Did I ever say I wanted to sell it I haven't decided yet whet I'm doing I'm just trying to get information ..gezz ! Advertisement ?!! Seriously ?! What am I advertising I didn't know how this site worked at first and wasn't sure if it was easier to contact in other ways if someone had more info instead of making another post to show. Enter pictures .. It's really odd to me that having my name, phone number and e-mail means I'm advertising ..my husbands company ? What are you talking about ? Did I say that in my profile just explaining who I was where I'm located because I wasn't sure if there was anyone local that could help ?? ... My goodness some people .. So left field. .. I'm excited to get a post thinking someone may know something and noo I get your post of rudeness gezz
Oh, I am sorry, I guess I was completely wrong.

Yeah I guess .. Or your just bored and like acting entitled.
No, I just don't understand what more you want said about you new trunk...

Agree with TubeAmp.
Some believe it is old, others do not......what more can be said? I know you are excited and we all been there with a item we have got. So I understand.
As for these new pics all I can say is in the last pic the bluish tarnish appears on be on the wood. Wood does not tarnish. Also the locks holes should show wear or be worn more around the hole slot - if used for 200 years. It looks so aged the wrong way.
It is still IMHO an wonderful decor piece, and looks lovely!
