Sorry, for the confusion on my earlier post and pictures. Now that I understand, these are pictures of my Lamp. My mother does not think it is a re pop... I suppose it could be, but the story doesn't fit. At any rate, the earlier pic of a paper weight dark marble base.. I don't own. I just used the pic from internet, because it was a better pic that I took at the time. Please take another look and see of you can tell me approximate age and what this is. When lit at night, it is truly beautiful. We stare at it, like it is going to do something... LOL. Thanks, Buzz. Sorry again for the confusion and dopey earlier post.

      Hello-
I have the same lamp. It was given to me on my 16th birthday by my grandmother, 22 years ago. She is 94 now, gradually losing her lucidity. My parents have had it at their house and brought it to me on a recent visit. The millefiori shade broke in transit. :(

If you are ever interested in selling yours, let me know.

These were made and edited by H.B Hirsch foundry in NYC. They used the same white alabaster bases for a lot of their pieces which was called the Collection Francais. They used a lot of the original moulds from France. This piece would date around 1946-48 just after they dug up the moulds in Paris after the second WW2. They also used a lot of the Millefiori glass shades which came from Italy along with the alabaster bases. This statue lamp was edited in with a beautiful dark striated black base to the ones which had their Collection Francais seal. Grande Ecarte by Van de Voorde. Seal # 81 and probably made into the early 1980's. Encylopedia of Bronzes. The met museum recomended the Hirsch foundry get in touch with the author at the time as he was in the midst of his volume #1 at the time going into publication and the author had a great relationship to the Hirsch family who gave him complete access to the collection !!~
