Recently bought rocking chair

I am interested in learning more about the age/ style / history of this type of rocking chair. As for as I know, everything is original except for round removable seat. I recovered the seat area with new fabric because the original material was torn, stained and tattered. We bought this from a friend who had previously gained ownership of it. It appears to be made of cherrywood. There is a slight squeak when rocked and is pretty sturdy. There is no identification underneath. It is small in stature and is more comfortable for a petite person to enjoy. Thank you for any information you can share.
