I don't know anything about it picked it up after an estate sale because I thought it was neat. then I learned about the locks on it...
Your trunk was most likely made in the early 1900's. It is a flat top trunk with a slight beveled edge. It is a standard from and type of trunk for its day, other than the slight bevel which is a bit unusual. The eagle lock company was a parts manufacturer that made locks and sold them to many trunk companies at the time. Without a makers's label on the trunk it will be difficult to ever know who actually made this trunk. Technically it is not a steamer trunk, as they were the half sized trunks that normally would fit under a bed in a ship's cabin. Hope this helps a bit and welcome to Collector's weekly!
