Hello all. I have in my possession several teeth. I am not sure but I believe they could be whale teeth. What are the laws about owning these? I believe these are very old by just looking at they yellowing and some have old splits. Is it illegal to own them if they are whale teeth? If its another kind of animal is it still illegal? Are they even allowed to be sold?

Owning is no problem. Selling could be if an endangered species & no proof of age before that ban. Tricky crap! If questionable & identified the species, just get a friend to give a signed letter saying that the had owned it (from before the ban) & they sign it. Been there, done that!

B B is correct. However, it cannot cross a state boarder or international boundary (unless gifted to an out-of-state museum or tribe, a permit would be needed in such a case).

Tube, that sounds too much like a challenge to me! Stwillia76(why did you chose that?), if you need it transported, we agree on a fee, I will put the full appraisal value in escrow and deliver anywhere on the planet you want it to go & you pay me the fee after delivery.
