This necklace was one of my last finds before going on vacation. I am out of my usual "territory" and I haven't found anything since :(
This necklace is very heavy. I believe it is sterling silver, however, I have no idea what the yellow and copper colored parts are made of. My guess is that it is plated.
I have seen similar necklaces made in Italy and, once again a guess, I think it might be from the 80's.
Thanks for looking:)
Thanks a lot, shareurpassion. You are fast!
Be sure to double check with a jeweler on this...more than likely, it's all gold. I know the ones I used to have were all gold. I can't really read the stamp here.
Even when I use my gold tester, I usually have it double checked also. I learned my lesson when I almost threw away a piece that was 2 full ounces of gold!!! Crazyness!
Wow, you made my day. I don't remember what the weight was, but remember that I paid less than half of the current silver prices. I wore it a lot over the past days, including in the pool and it still looks the same. I keep dreaming!
Thanks a lot, shareurpassion:)
Thanks a lot, vetraio50:)
What an incredibly accomplished piece of chain making there. The detail with the bobbles along the edge is fantastic.
Thanks so much for your comment, racer4four :)
You are welcome, I just hope it is all gold. Like I said, I know mine was. Let me know if you will. I'm curious :)
BTW it was referred to as "black hills gold"
