hello i have a piece that looks like an antique gold hair pin with probably
someones initials or the makers mark.to me it looks like it good be gold
i will try and find any hallmarks on it.i hope i could please get some help
from you all.i am trying to help my mom sell of some of her things to
pay off her medical bills.
I don't know what it is either but my late mother in law had one. She isn't actually late she is dead. She was a school teacher for 40 years and always used hers as a book mark to hold her lesson page. Might be worth researching, might not.
its 3 1/2 inches long
thanks guys with you what you told me right now i just found it on ebay
i found one just like it and they are real gold.THANKS SO MUCH TO THE BOTH
OF YOU
Abe, all we did is plant a seed for thought. You listened and researched it. Many people ask and never listen because they don't like the answer. It is easy to get tunnel vision when you are researching an item. If you don't find it quickly ask for suggestions to break you out of the trance. You may not get a hit every time but it will give you more ideas to work with.
I'm back again. I had a haunting thought.....I hope you don't think this has gold value. Unmarked it is plated or gold filled and basically worthless for gold value. Collector value as a book mark is what you have. All that glitters isn't gold.
