    This is a 1909 Coca-Cola change tray. The size of the tray is 4 1/4" x 6".
    It was found in Yellow Springs, Ohio.

      These tip trays were reissued in the 70's. They had a date on the border. Examinr carefully all along the border. I have seen the rero with the date rubbed out.

      just found one exactly like - going through relative's garage north of Chicago - would have been from Indiana probably

      No - this is a real one. I can tell by the lithography, and the logo. It is interesting that many many tip trays are found in rough condition, because they were used for ash trays, not because they were used for their intended purpose. Many have a cigarette burn on them somewhere. The 3 versions of this tray have always been a favorite of mine. Many people refer to this in error as the "St. Louis Worlds fair" tray, but that is not accurate. It actually occured in 1904, 4 years before this artwork would have been copyrighted.
