    Like its owner, old and in poor condition ;-) a soda syphon that is very old indeed...........from King & Barnes Brewery dated 1729.

      Wikipedia informs me that King & Barnes did not exist until a much later date, so only the syphon cap can be 1729 alas. Wikipedia states: The brewery was founded around 1800 as Satchell & Co. Satchell was later bought out by the maltster, James King, and the business renamed King & Sons. In 1906, another Horsham brewer, G.H. Barnes and Co, merged with King & Sons thus forming King and Barnes.
