it looks like they would use something like this in the gold mining days , but I could be wrong . Lets see what others say.
or for washing clothes :)
Gold mining! That's one we haven't looked into yet- checked anything related to washing/wringing out clothes, grinding oats/grains, kneading dough, tenderizing meat... running out of ideas :)
It's a butter working table.
What are the dimensions? Don't think gold mining is it.
