    Found this in a second hand retro/antiquey type shop , for a few pounds !!
    He's 14" high in brown & black glaze & sat up begging !! My wife thought he looked cute and unusual so we gave him a new home !! Lol. I think hes a water jug (or maybe sangria) ha!! ha!!! As the spout which is under his nose is only a 10mm hole ..not only that , I think it would be a nightmare to clean anything else out !!
    looks like he was made in a mould in about four pieces then assembled , looks like a spaniel.. thare are no markings at all only the shop label which said "60s dog jug"!

      I think it’s maybe a novelty drink holder from a bar or restaurant. I’ve never seen them in that form, usually white. The hole is where the straw goes. We used to have some from a local Japanese restaurant, so there was a Geisha, a Buddha and a few others which they served fancy drinks in.

      Just found a similar one on ebay in france so possibly french and listed as a 60s basset hound water pitcher!! Its in a chocolate brown colour !! Sd
