I Have to admit to my self I am never going to stop collecting flowers...

    This one is 7 " High X 7" Long and 4 1/2 " Wide .

Ive given it a quick clean but still need to get deep down inside the flower to get the last of that gunk out .

Thanks Sean... I'd prefer Kev's as the other mans glass is always cleaner

The apature is tiny so a thin piece of wire is needed . I have all sorts of things to clean my glass.

It is such a pain in the butt to get the last bit of debris from these floriform stems - I often wonder if they used to put muddy plants in there, they can be so bad! I think a very thin wire, if a pipe cleaner fails, is a good bet. I also soak them in a de-greasing solution that can really loosen up old dirt and grime. This is a lovely one, Marty - the yellow is very pretty with the subtle mottling. Congrats! :)

I do have one trick for cleaning small vases with bulbous bottoms, where a brush may not reach - fill them with a small handful of dried lentils or garbanzo beans (depending on the vase size) with a splash of detergent in water, and whirl away! I was amazed at how well it cleaned out the bottom of some of my vases without any scratching. ;) (PS - just get the beans out before they swell too much - if you want to know how I know this important fact, ask my husband about the stink in one of my vases while I waited for overly swelled beans to decompose so I could get them out again - ewwwww!!!)
