One of my Candlestick Ref. Books suggests that this double-base example would be Czechoslovakian. I realize however that this is an electric lamp but I would nevertheless search down this path. RER(BOB)
Stunning!!
Just a question...is the light socket cord on the outside of the lamp? Looks like that in the pic. Might it been a *candlestick* that someone converted to a lamp? The reason why I say this -- You think if they were made from a company like that, the electric cord would be inside rather than outside to catch on things
Not sure, just wondering????? Throwing it out there....?

Thank you LOUMANAL
I will search that avenue.
Much appreciated.

Antiquerose, yes it is outside of the lamp. I also thought along those lines while trying to find out more about this piece, I came across a few others with lamps like this with the cord on the outside. It has me thinking along the depression tableware theme where the makers made multiple items in the same mould and then changed little things to make them into something different. This one really has me curious....
nice candlestick : ) this dolphin figure was very popular with many glass makers, especially from the 1920s thru 1930s. This one has some fine detail and distinctive stepped square base/foot. The make-a-lamp kits are readily available for converting candlesticks or even bottles into electric lamps; this one looks to be held in place with plaster. Hope you can find the maker.
also used for oil lamps:

Tall Cakes! You got it! eBay #221493331798
It is a great marriage.
Hi TallCakes,
I've done a little more digging and come up with the name Reich & co. I'm not certain if this is the maker or not but did find two amber dolphin vanity lamps (name as listed) that matched the piece I have. I couldn't find any other documentation matching this.. There's no concrete evidence in any direction as yet, I will keep searching......
I also found some speculative attributions to Reich as well as Boston Sandwich, but alas nothing definitive : (
Thank you Wierdpuckett,
that narrows it down. I've been looking and couldn't find anything. Now to find out if it was supposed to be an electric lamp, Lantern or Candle stick. Thank you once again, I can now research those makers.
Kind regards,
Michelle
