This is a funky thing I picked up today at SA. Boutique section. This is hallmarked S.MARTINELLI & CO. PATENTED REG. WATSONVILLE,CAL.
There are numbers on it 20 and 2025 E above the location.

This is a heavy glass piece that looks like its from a mold but the back is rough. Like they put the chips of coloured glass on top and melted it. This measures 9x8 inches......thanks for looking and if anyone has any information....

This is so weird. It looks like somebody has taken an ordinary flask and melted it along with some coloured glass chips. What a great talking piece, I really love it!

That is called fusing and slumping - accomplished in the intense heat of a kiln in pretty much the manner you described.

It's occasionally still done in fairs, but was more popular to watch a few decades ago. I've seen them made into spoons and serving trays. Others are merely elongated into oddly shaped bottles.
