My wife acquired a beautiful set of 4 chairs several years ago at an auction in Upstate New York. There is one armchair and there are 3 side chairs. We love the design and they are very well constructed. All the chairs are stamped(see photo) with appears to be a two letters which we can't quite identify, and the seats are stamped "Factory N:R 12 made in Sweden". The chairs are made of a light colored hardwood and have cane on the upper back. There was also a label that fell off that said"Steates and Miller" which was a local upholster shop that went out of business in the 1970's. I believe that they reupholstered the seats at one time.
We would like to identify the maker, and would appreciate any comments.
Thank you.
