This is an original packaged cake of Williams Mug Shaving Soap made by the J.B. Williams Company - 1 3/4 oz round cake, 2 1/2" diameter, 1" thick
** Founded in 1840 by James Baker Williams in Glastonbury, CT - the firm would go on to make such well-known brands as 'Aqua Velva' and ''Lectric Shave'. - J.B. Williams son was also the inventor of 'Ivorine' which is now known as 'Ivory Soap' after it was sold to Proctor & Gamble. - The Williams Brothers Manufacturing Company was also known for their silver-plate (WB mark). - The J.B. Williams Co. toiletries brands were sold to Nabisco in 1971 and then later acquired by Combe Incorporated in 2002 who currently continues producing the brands.
- This package is circa 1990's made during the Nabisco ownership years.
