Possibly one of my favorite finds was a superb oversize 1946 Atlas with a full collection of great maps all large size, some folded once in center, but all bound in such a way that they were removable for framing or laying out flat for study or collecting. The outside binding was severely damaged unfortunately, and necessitated a rescue of the many beautiful maps inside. This also allowed for a distribution amongst a handful of lucky collectors! Many of these maps were very yellowed and aged (although the colors and aging was VERY attractive), but a section was also only slightly yellowed.
Shown here was the beautiful FLORIDA map that featured RAILROADS and some great decorative colors - Frankly, it's just a joy to find great maps like this! I only had one map of Florida, so it's long gone into a collectors hands. We're grateful to have found someone that loved the map as much as we did!
