They don't make 'em like this anymore. At 22 lbs of steely beauty, probably a good thing for everybody's sake... except chiropractors. Maker and brand is Cavalier Carry Cooler Senior.
I didn't think long before paying almost double book value off an eBay BIN listing. Size is 18"x 12"x 18". Surface and overall condition is excellent to near mint. And I've seen these routinely sell for big bucks, so in my opinion the guides undervalue the old picnic coolers.
This is my third Cavalier. I also have a 1940 Standard Ice Cooler and a 1950 Junior (commonly knows as an Airline Cooler). So I have 3 decades of Cavalier covered.
(My fourth cooler is a 1958 Acton Jr... Little Brother!)
This completes my Coca-Cola cooler collection.
Actually, was probably designed by chiropractors! Had several Mini Mokes with those tiny tires & swore they were invented by dentists, as they would shake out fillings.
I hear ya blunderbuss! Thanks for visiting.
Oh, Nooooooooooooo!!!!
I agree with Ray... there is NO WAY you can stop there..... I mean you haven't even started filling the garage yet have you? More room = more coolers !! Oh yeah, nice little Cav.
You can park your BMW outside. Give you a reason to look forward to the divorce because after she takes everything, you will have more room in the house for more. Added bonus is, you don't have to feel bad about the car being outside because she (Ex) will have it.
Thanks Tommy! I've managed to contain my Coke collection to The Cave and I like it that way.
blunderbuss, Some guys collect wives. Not me. I want to keep mine as happy and as long as possible (AND park my car in the garage! :0)-
Ah, you have been domesticated. I've collected wives, but none of them were mine! LOL
