Ok ... Maybe I have about 40 projects going art wise and maybe I am crazy but!
I know for fact Ezra Ames painted for the Van Rensselaer family!
They both lived in Albany , NY!
The back of my painting say's Van Rensselaer children
Same landscape on back of the other example far right by Ames. Same outfit on the boy. Rocks around base the same. Same Sky! Same faded out book page in gray.
So then I find this picture of Catherine Bogart Putman, age 3,
photograph, 1860. She was related to Van Rensselaer! Part of Historic Cherry Hollow in NY. family RESEMBLENCE is shocking! But not to Cherry Hollow? REALLY?
What are your thoughts on this one? Ezra Ames?
You must have a lot of wall space for all your art! So interesting. I think you need to send pictures to one of the better auction houses. Love seeing them!

The first painting is of my girls in one of my rooms in my house.
I had bought it off that dealer for 3k. Seemed like a great buy back then...
