custom made-a friend of ours worked with Leo Fender to produce this MusicMan guitar. Really nice woodworking! Can anyone give us some background on it? Never been played, so we don't know how it sounds.

that's a great piece of history! leo fender had to abide by a ten-year (i think) "no compete" rule after he sold fender to CBS in the mid-60s. after the ten years were up he started making the music man stuff

It is really a waste that this guitar is not being played. Sort of like a ferrari that stays in a garage and never gets driven! Strongly urge you to sell it to a musicianwho will use it it is probably worth quite a bit.
