Need HELP to identify this North American /Canadian Border Indian Blanket ?The story I have is that the blanket was traded with some Dutch Sailors around 1860? , they in turn took it back to Holland were it made its way to the UK , any help would be of great intrest to me . The Blanket is approx 5ft 6inches by 6ft (English size/feet & inches) three main colours are blue red white , the blanket is worn in places, the blue border has been added at a later date and is machine sitched.

This is not Native American. I think it is a 19th century American coverlet. People have begun to collect these enthusiastically over the last 25-30 years. Yours is a patriotic-themed one. if you look carefully at the corners, you may find initials of the maker, along w/ a date. I think that this one is a Jacquard, but i'm not sure. I'm no expert on them.
