Can anyone help identify this, it's simply beautiful! I am not sure if this is a vase or an urn, there isn't a cap or lid but doesn't mean there wasn't one. It's 6 1/4" high the base is 2 1/2 wide the opening is 3" It has 2 pictures (one on each side of a man on a horse - looks like a man that would ride for horse races possibly? It has rich colors of burnt orange, some blue, browns and black. The bottom has what looks to be épNY on it with a "pillar mark" of some sort on each side of the mark. There is a Number "7" also on the bottom, in the same color gold paint used on the vase/urn

    Thanks~

This is a very similar piece, which appears to have been made in China. With the lid it is usually described as a ginger jar

maryh1956, Good find and I agree DEFINITELY the same painter, and a ginger jar, but running into some snags on the listings WAI theory, looks like a URI, the bottom print is the herb, and WAI seems to be a common name, so am wondering now, about the letters on mine? THANKS so much, good feelers to go by for SURE!
