These were my grandpa's when he went to China for a holiday with my grandma, possibly in the 70s or the latest in the 80s. He had them framed and hanging in his house. My uncle (his son) removed them from the frames (easier to transport from Malaysia back to Singapore) and gave them to me last year. These depict very traditional Chinese scenery and symbols like the mountains (living a life away from worldly wants which is what all the poets and artists aspire to) and the first picture which shows a set of 3 scrolls which are plum tree (good luck) pine trees (longevity and steadfastness) and bamboo (modesty) together form the 3 friends in winter and depict loyalty.
