LOUMANAL
(436 items)
Found this Little Vase today and since it has traits of so many possible sources, I can't even offer a guess on the manufacturer. The shape is quite unusual but the Deco look is there. The colors go from a mottled butterscotch in the upper sections with red and green streaks near the lower section all encased in clear outer and inner layers and with Aventurine throughout. It measures 5" across, 3 3/4" tall and has a flat polished rim and a recessed polished underbase. No markings. Any ideas? RER(BOB)

Mystery solved.....i think....LOL
@ Loumanul -- solved
YES! That was a fast, fast "Solve" and yours with a sticker nails it. Thanks antiquerose. No wonder I loved it when I saw it...it was probably a freudian memory storage thing because I remember looking at yours back then and noting that it had a rare label and that I would love to have one. BOB
Here is a little more info I just posted on my post, but I will copy/paste here for you too....
ROYAL ARTGLASS ( One word I believe). Has splashes of green aventurine in it
""Suggested"" to me that the label used post WWI and MAY have been used by Franz Welz on pieces exported to the North American market. Czech Glass/label probably from around 1920 - 1930's. [Update]: Confirmation that Glasmarken Lexicon 1600-1945 lists the Royal Artglass label as a Welz label.
Hope that helps LOUMANAL.....Love yours too.
Eh? ;-)

It's beautiful LOUMANAL :)....I almost thought Legras for a minute. I do have a couple of their vases which are very similar.

such a pretty piece !
Thanks idcloisonne! I'm always open-minded so I appreciate your comments. I've learned over the 40 years of collecting/selling that there are always variations to everything made; sometimes because of later or earlier manufacture, by the different artisan who made it or the equipment/materials used. When dealing with a blown glass item, the sky is the limit.
