This is the second piece I picked up from Salvation Army. It was sitting with all the dishes and screaming buy me ! Not that you could miss it at 15" tall and that amazing shape. I think it's very "Art Nouveau" in style. The outside is satin finished but the inside is shiny white and pale orange speckled glass. The graceful handle adds a lot to it's height. It curves back into the bottom where there is a faint curled seam on the one side across the base. It almost looks like part of the design. It's not very wide at only 6" across the bottom. Now comes the hard part. There is a label but all I can make out is "made in" It doesn't look like China because the last letter isn't an "A". It's the remains of a straight line. So I'm hoping it's Italy or maybe even Spain. It has the look of a Gino Cenedese "scavo" (acid etched) piece design wise, but those a usually signed. Something this unusual can't be Chinese or can it ?? -Mike-
It kind of goes with this piece I bought a while back.

That's a cool find Mike! I don't know if you have done this but can you set your "macro" on your camera? You will get a much closer and clearer photo, maybe then we can see it better :)
(I shot photos for nearly a year before I figured this out!) (UGH!!!)
Wow that's unusual.......the shape and then cased in satin !
No...don't think it's Chinese....
Is there a small flower (macro) on your camera for close up pics? Or you can send me a pic with a clear shot (even with a little distance - but clear) and I can see if I can crop/enlarge for you.
This is really an eye catching piece.....would like to know myself who the maker is!!
