Speaking of Birthstones, since it's still July I decided to post this Ruby.
And yes, yet another hand-me-down :) I don't think I ever realized how fortunate I have been to have so many different types of family heirlooms. I have just decided that THIS has to be the benefit of being the only girl in the whole family! lol...
This gem came from my fathers mother and is about 3 to 4 carats. I never had the opportunity to meet her but I understand that she was on the Dawes Roll (Final Rolls of the Citizens and Freedmen of the Five Civilized Tribes in Indian Territory) they were; Cherokee, Creek, Choctaw, Chickasaw and Seminole and put on this list between 1898 and 1914. She was Cherokee from Oklahoma.
Beautiful ! Yes you were lucky I am one of 4 girls and No boys :-)
Oh I did adopt one though a Bro (Walksoft ) :-)
LOL! I was wondering about that Marty! Needless to say I grew up playing baseball, football and basketball. Oh and let's not forget the fighting! Nobody ever told me I hit like a girl! Ha! for a while I even drove big rigs. I loved peoples faces when they saw me get out. I only weigh 125. I'm thankful I love my girly stuff tho:)
Thanks for the love Moonstone

Awesome! We can go on the hunt together! And do you ever go to PCC? I have a booth there, it's lots of fun! You can teach me a thing or two about your vases :)
