My first Charles Lotton vase arrived today and I thought I'd share it with you guys. Although it's a contemporary piece, the iridescence matches well with my Loetz vase collection. It measures 7" x 7".

Your very welcome Rick!!
It is beautiful.
Nice addition there!
Lovely vase....:-)
Love Lotton & Loetz! It wasn't on purpose but I discovered later on that our art glass collecting preferences seemed to include a lot of "L's"! LOL We are close friends with the Lotton family and have been collecting their work for over 15 years. They are all very talented. It is no wonder that their works are included in many major museums and they are world renown.
Wow 15 years?! You must have a large collection. I'd love to see some. As far as the "L's", I guess Lundberg Studios is next!
Rick
I'm not sure where to post this, but I have a question. The pictures that all of you post are so clear and sharp. How are you guys photographing your pieces.
Rick
Lundberg, Lalique, Labino, Littleton... With the exception of Littleton, much of these artist's works are in the Art Nouveau style which is most likely why they ended up in our collection. But Littleton - just because he is the father of Studio Art glass. If you have any questions about works of art by Lotton , feel fee to contact me. My contact information is included in my CW profile. Happy collecting!
Thank you for the offer LoetzDance, I'll definitely take you up on it. I've never heard of Labino nor Littleton, but as soon as I post this I'm going to look them up. -Rick
LoetzDance, I'm not a fan of contemporary glass, but after seeing Litteton's work, all I can say is WOW!!! Incredible glass!! Wish I could afford it.
Thanks for the loves Anita, AmberRose, Peasejean55, colori, GlueChip, MacArt, inky, bratjdd, czechman, vetraio50 and SEAN68!
I see this is signed by Charles, not David. Very nice.
Thanks Bill. You know I never realized that. This was my first Lotton piece and I didn't know one Lotton from another. I appreciate your it pointing it out to me.
I don't know if you agree Rick, almost look like, Fritz Heckert Silberband .
Lovely vase.
Regards
Alan
Thanks Alan! I can see the similarities in the swirls on each...
